How we work
We are local manufacturers of solid surface worktops, a family run business with more than 15 years experience, and take pride in our reputation and level of customer service.
All we need to get started is an idea of your dimensions and requirements. You can submit an existing plan by email, or send us a simple sketch and your own measurements.
We send you a 'mid-price' itemised quote, which covers a wide range of colours and patterns, to give you an idea of costs. If that sounds interesting, Ross, our Worktops manager and resident expert, will arrange to visit you (when your kitchen base units are fitted and levelled). He conducts all surveys himself, so that he can manage your project accurately and successfully.
At the survey Ross will survey the space and discuss the finer points of your project with you, and you can make a final colour choice from the many options available.
We book an installation date and ask you for a 50% deposit payment, with the rest becoming due on the day we complete the installation.
If you'd like to discuss your worktop or ask questions at any time, just call or email.
What is solid surface?
Acrylic solid surface worktops are non-porous, low maintenance surfaces suitable for domestic and commercial environments. Also known as 'composite' worktops, lengths can be joined virtually seamlessly, and solid surface sinks can be integrated with no gaps, eliminating areas for water to collect and bacteria to grow.
The worktops can be scrubbed and bleached without any harm, and most light wear and tear marks can be polished out with household abrasive cleaners. The worktops withstand the heat from a saucepan of boiling water removed from the hob, but should be protected from more intense heat (eg roasting tins or woks). We often supply complimentary chopping boards/trivets from leftover material.
We recommend a satin matte finish for ease of maintenance.
